Nkuru Hair and Beauty Salon is ready for customers!

The Hair Salon at Nkuru Business Vocational Training College is open for business!

Fully equipped to enable men’s and women’s hairdressing to take place, resident hairdresser Deborah is ready and waiting for the pre-Christmas rush to start.

The salon’s first customer, who got a free hair treatment as a result, was local resident Justine. In the past Justine, and most others in her position, would have gone to Mityana to get their hair done, which involved paying 7,000 UGX for the transport, on top of the price of the hair treatment.

So the salon is a very welcome addition to the college campus, and promises to be well used.

And when folks have had their hair done, they can pop across campus and enjoy one of the delicious new fruit juices that Daniel the chef is tempting customers with, and the chapattis for which he is becoming famous in the local area.

The salon, which was built in part by the college construction course students, as part of their practical work, will double as a training salon for students who are enrolling on the hair and beauty course when the college re-opens for the new academic year in February.
